Stage 2 -

We cycled 112km along the scenic coastal route from Ullapool to the shores of Loch Maree. We were joined by a friend of ours, who kept us company on the ride and at each cake stop!

We visited Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve and chatted with site management officer Doug Bartholomew, and other site members/volunteers. Being a National Nature Reserve means that budgets, aims and restrictions vary from community-owned sites, for example, and so it was interesting chatting with staff and people working under different structures!
